acceleration problem???

It just started happening in the last couple of days or so and it's not consistent. When i give it gas from a stop i hear the engine rev but the car accelerates very slowly. Also, when let off the brakes it creeps slower than normal? I don't have any problems at higher speeds. What's my Cherokee's problem? It's a '95 V6 4.0L automatic and i'm approaching 200K miles. Thanks in advance for the help.

I'd check the transmission fluid first. If full, try a complete transmission fluid replacement (with filter).
