I was wondering how to change the timing belt...Is it easy?? or do you have to pull the motor??

Its a moderate job... Depends on your abilities... But usually, no matter how good u are machanically, its gonna take some time if this is your first time doing it, so allot atleast 4-5hrs for the whole job... You dont have to pull the whole motor, only the driver's side mount (while placing a jack with a peice of wood to support the engine, under the oil pan)... Heres a how-to on a Del Sol, but since ur car is SOHC, its essentially the same... U might want to pick up a Helms manual, or atleast a Haynes from Autozone or Advance, if u dont have one of those handy, it will explain the specifics for your car... Like the torque specs and all that...

Dont forget to check, and recheck the timing marks before starting the car!

We recently did my brothers, we had to take it to a shop to have them buzz it off with an impact gun...

why are you asking how to get the flywheel off in a thread about timing belts? unless you happen to mean the crankpully?
if not, heres a pic of when i did mine. worked like a charm, just make sure the wrench is big secure.

Its a tad more difficult while the engine is in the car... :grinno:
