hello,
I have a 98 Sunfire and am having some problems I could really use some help with. The car has feels like its working too hard when I am driving it, the power just isn't there, the engine light has come on and gone off a few times, and now the dash lights have started to flicker. Does any one have any idea whats up with my car????
Thanks

GPT20,
I have had the same problem with my 96 Sunfire. But it didn't seem like the problem was in loss of power. What had happened was the grounding came off from the battery which made the tac, headlights, oil, abs, airbag, all the lights on the dash would flicker on and off constantly. All I had to do is reground from the battery and that solved all the problems. I would suggest drilling through a post and putting a wire too it from your grounding, thats what worked for my sunfire. But as I said I wasn't loosing power, just the grounding was setting off all the lights on the dash. Hope that will help with the dash lights.

I would also take it an autozone and have them do a test on your alternator and battery. You've got an electrical problem somwhere, and getting those two things checked is a good place to start.
