I want a bit more power.

I want a bit more power out of my1.6 litre miata.any thing that will give me safe reliable and CHEAP power.And how do i know if I have a LSD.

does anyone know if royal purple motor oil and Denso iridium spark plugs are safe to put in my 1.6 miata?

Bump the timing to 14 degrees for a few ponies in the low end. Shop for a used header and full exhaust and maybe a cold air intake system. The garage section iof miata.net is worth a look. You should also be able to find the info you need to determine if you have an lsd.

Safe and recommended. Just be sure to double check the gap on the plugs. Make sure to use a feeler guage to make sure the gap is square.

well i have limited money but its my first car.I would probably be willing to spend up to 150 in some performance things depending on how dramatic power gains are.

for $150 you can do a nice intake, advance your timing, and gut your cat. you will have to run premium gas though.

Do you want the power to enhance the Miata's driving experience, or do you just wanna drag race? Because if it's the latter, maybe the Miata isn't the right car for you.

Actually, the Miata makes a great drag car. I beat up on Mustangs and other V8's all the time.

I want more fun than it already is,F some drag-racing.donuts,powerslides,and hard turns are the way to go.also what about a turbo from a RX-7?would it be easy enough to put on without many other mods to the engine and/or drivetrain.
