Strange experience yesterday. Coasting towards a stop and engine stalled. Would not restart. Plenty of gas, no problem with battery, but couldn't get engine to turn over. Sat for 20 minutes after calling a friend and when friend arrived, tried to start it and it started right up. Started fine this morning. This has happened twice in the time I've owned it. Not too concerned except have a pregnant wife and don't want third time to be on way to hospital. Any insights into what woudl cause such a stall? Really appreciate your help.

The CEL (check engine light) didn't come on? Wierd. When my '99 did the same thing it turned out to be the fuel pump, except my did turn over- and I noticed in your post you stated your car did not. I would first start by checking the battery cables and the starter cables to make sure they are tight and don't have any corrosion on them. Hopefully someone has better ideas...

check the IAC valve to see if its sticking, if you were coasting to a stop your car was at idle so it may have been stuck closed and forced your car to shut off, you can pull this off and check the valve with a small screwdriver, it should open and close easily, if not replace it with a new one
