I always heard you need to regap your plugs to prevent spark blow. I regapped to .036 is that where i should be? Or should i have them gapped lower.

Q: What should I set my spark plug gap to?

A: The stock spark plug gap is between 0.039 to 0.043 in. The plug gap should be decreased to between 0.028 and 0.034 in. for running higher than stock boost levels. Ideally, you should use the largest gap that does not create spark blowout with the boost setting you use.

I did .34 and I think thats what most people who raise the boost up to 14 have theirs at, I did it in anticipation of raising the boost. It works fine, a hell of a lot better than .45 (the gap if the plugs installed when I got the car).

if you aren't getting blowout...there is no reason to lower the gap.
