head unit wiring

I've got an 89 325is... and I want to know if there's a wiring harness somewhere that I can get to put a new head unit it... because I don't want it hard wired in... but I went into hifi buys... and they said that they don't have them... or make them for my car... I was wondering if anyone could help me out...
