85 lost lights n radio

hi hope someone can help. i just got a 85 classic with lots of issues. got most of them sorted out but when i was driving it today, the headlights radio and dome lights went out. turn signals still work and the car still starts up. i checked the fuse for the stereo and its fine. it starts fine but i still cabt get the headlights radio or interrior lights to work. what am i forgetting to check?

after futher review, all fuses are ok. i noticed everything with controls on the dash (lighter, headlights, stero, heater, and dome lights) does not work. everything else, like the power seats and windows and door locks, alarm and wipers still work. it starts and drives normally. im not very adept at fixing cars and really need help. if anyones near chicago im in the south suburbs and would gladly reimburse for fixing this problem. i know that i am the last person that should be messing around with my cars wiring. me + electricty = ouch.

not that this helps, but I am having the same exact problem with my 89. I will let you know when I figure something out.

I got a tip that it may be a fusable link. These are small wires b/t the starter and main power line going to the fuse box. If one of these melts, it would appear as if all fuses are OK, but there is not actually any power getting to a row of fuses. I hear these can be a pain in the butt to repair, so you may do well to take the problem to a trained professional. Hope this bit of info helps. Well, I'm off to start inspecting wires.
