Maybe timing belt slipped. Check timing and spark.

put motor to tdc and check physical timing as well as with a timing light.
oh and try reset the ecu and see if you still get it

when pulled back to tdc the mark is right on the money, the piston hits top and the cam mark lines up with the block and little arrow, cant check it with a time light, the idiot who owned it b4 me decided that the bottum t belt cover wasnt an importent piece of equipment, and when i reset the ecu, it tells me that tdc is off when i go to start it, and finally if i am off, its by a tooth, but she will sit n' idle smooth all day long, tellen me timeing is ok, right?

Is it a stock motor. Check the rotor button and make sure the set screw isn't gone. if it is a b series swap there is a knock sensor and a tdc sensor if i am not mistaken. But if it is stock you shouldn't have these sensors. Maybe a dizzy prob if it's a stock motor but i am not sure. Civickiller can probably help you a little more than i can in this case. if not then there are a few other people that pop up on here that will be able to help.

did you make sure you had spark first ? thats the first step

no, i havnt gone and physicaly checked 4 spark seince these problems have started, but if i push start the car, it fires right up, the old dizzy was shit, so i replaced it with one from a running car from the j yard, but either way could i have a bad ignighter or coil still?

not if you push start it and it works everytime.
go check for spark, but also look to see how strong the spark it.
what you could also try and do is next time have someone hook your car up on jumper cables and then try and start your car, even if it can crank by itslef. if it starts up fine then its probably your battery

ok, ill get the ol battery charger out and see what it does, if it kicks right over, ill check for spark with the battery only, the battery is from a j yard itself so its possible that shes dead

possibly check alternator too if thats the case. If it's not putting out the voltage you need. If you get it started check it with a volt meter set on DC volts and you sould get at least 14 volts but just in case.

Update: the battery was Part of the problem, i changed it and it kind of fixed it, so i went to check my timeing, and there was this green substence on my plugs, 3 of 4 of them, and i thought naw, cant be, but tonight driven her, she started over heaten, heater was ice cold, and when i got her back home, the half gallon that was in the over fill was gone, and none on the driveway where she idled for 20 min, so my guess is bad gasket...hopefully not a cracked block

i know, im verry scared, because it overheated tonight, and i didnt stop because its done it b4, and i figgued it was the t stat, but when i flipped the heater on i knew it wasnt... my question is can a warped hed be machined or should i go pick one up from the j yard?

i just picked up a 350 sbc for my s 10 today, there realy isn't enough cash flow to do both a minime and the 350 swap, one then the other, and i figgured the honda needed work, and when i started i didnt know a lot about moters, and now im doin the 350 swap i need somethin damn reliable to get me from a to be, then im hopen for a b 18 or b 20, ive got a buddie with the 20, just dont know if i have the umph for it now.... but back to the problem, i pull the plugs and number 2 wasnt doin its job, the plug was black right after use, and 4 for 4 had green on them, and she was given me vapor, so ill try n keep ya posted, hopen to get everything tore down tomorrow.
