When this happened....how many of YOU thought immediately that it was Islamic terrorists?
I never dreamed for a minute it was the nut-jobs that actually did it.

What do you know I'm pretty much in the exact same boat. The only thing is I live outside of Tulsa. Anyway when I got home from school I knew there was a bombing but that was it. By the time I saw the news they already caught Timithy McVeigh and were saying he did it.

It was just a WTF?! Didn't think of any kind of terrorists. It was just a big question mark at first.

You don't have to be Islamic to be a radical. What good does it do anybody to jump to conclusions and make groundless assumptions anyway? Throwing blame on Islam without facts is akin to blaming the nearest black man for a murder. It speaks to one's prejudices, stereotypes and general ignorance.

I think I am probably older than most here, but when it occurred...most of my acquaintences and I naturally assumed it was Islamic terrorists. We were wrong. Given the general political climate...and WTC 1 I think it was a pretty valid assumption....but again...I was wrong. I just was curious ablout how many here had assumed the same thing. You were mostly kids at the time so...you naturaly didn't jump to the same conclusion.
