5x100 ... hub size is 57.1mm for when you need the # for hubcentric rings.

What would I need hubcentric rings for?

Anything important?

Most wheel companies will send them with the new wheels like Motegi for one. Some vehicles are lug centric which means when you tighen the lugs, the wheel will be centered and you won't get vibrations when driving. J-bodys are hubcentric which means the wheel has to sit on the hub for it to spin true. If you look at your stock wheels when they are on the car without the plastic hub caps, its sits on a circular disc. called the hub. The hub is also your wheel bearing assembly. The hub size is 57.1mm on j-bodies. So say you go out and buy a set of rims that are 10 lug universal and universaly bored. It is going to have an extremly large bore size to accomodate other cars that have different hub sizes. When i bought my wheels i didn't know about these, and just threw the wheels on my car no questions asked. I could only go about 40-50 mph before my whole front end shook. I thought it was just severly unbalaces but it was not. I did a little research and found i needed the rings. I called up the company that made them and asked for the bore size ( first time around some fucking Foreigner gave the wrong Size and i got the wrong rings, so i have 2 sets now and maybe even 3. ) THere should be no play in them when you stick them in your wheels. I have 73mm on my rims right now, but i have a little play so i might get 1mm larger. These rings fill in the gap between the bore of the rim and your Hub size. So if you get wheel vibs, these are what fix it. Even if its off just slightly, it can cause serious vibs at high speeds.

Oh alright, So if I bought the Motegi MR7's then would they come with these rings?

Just, but that isn't a reason for buying those. I think those rims have been played out way too much. Be unique. Shit a set of the rings are only friggen 5-8 bucks. You just need the outter diameter #

I like the Motegi MR7's chrome but I also do like those black ones that I showed you.

Try and get a package deal with tires mounted. Gettin wheels mounted to your rim is very pricey i found out... I had to end up paying fuckin 120 bucks to get them mounted and balanced.

I didn't get rings with mine, and have no vibrations when driving. Went up to 90 on the interstate with no problems. Guess I lucked out and got rims that fit.

some companies make it so some rims are direct fit to your car.

I don't trust anything off of ebay anymore after I started on this site.

Ebay is cool when your buying this that are expensive at the store and they have a brand name, but they are cheaper on ebay.

Otherwise I dont trust any generic stuff off of ebay anymore.

Thats where I got my clear corners and euro tail lights. I bout my cd player there too for just under $400. On crutchfield the same cd player is over $400 for a refurbished one. I got a few other things there too.

Yeah, As I said, good for some things, otherwise I don't trust a lot of things.

I bought my whole system and everything on there for it so I guess you can say I like it.

I don't get why everyone has such a problem with sony? I had a Sony deck and I have no problem with it. Maybe it sisn't have all of the features as everyone elses did and maybe it didn't have a detachable faceplate, but it was still nice.

Oh well, i'm not here to complain but I just wanted to know why everyone has such a problem with sony, so I have a better clue the next time I go shoping for a deck :)

That makes sense.

Red the reason I'm against sony is because I'm all about the performance of a product. I'm not real impressed with Sony and there are better products out there that not much more. Sony just doesn't put out like the rest. Its not bad, just a simple matter of opinion. I would not personally put any sony products in my car.

Are they bad quality? or what?

Their not cheap, so atleast some of them can't be bad quality.
