Is it possible...

to sell a car without a valid title?
Here is my dilemma. A bit embarrasing, but oh well. I defaulted on a loan a few years back. It has been written off as a loss per my credit report and will be removed in 3 years. The vehicle has now been in my garage for the past 3 years and I have no need for it.
Now, being that I am not the owner of the car (the bank is), can I sell the car off as "parts" to someone who may want it? For example, post the car on eBay, clearly stating my situation...would that be possible?

you need to find out if the bank still has a lein on the car and find out in what amount the lein is. If you sell the car you have to pay the amount of the lein for them to release the lein and enable you to sign over the title.
Of course if you didn't care about being legal you could strip the car for parts and leave it on the side of the road somewhere.
