necessary fixes?

I have a 1990 Cadillac DeVille with about 86,000 miles on it. I bought it from someone who seldom drove the car obviously. However I have had to put a fair amount of money into the car. The mechanic told me that some things that have to be fixed include:
- Transmission mount
- Exhaust manifold
- Struts & shocks
The car also leaks quite a bit of oil and I am told that to fix this would be very expensive.
Anyway, I want to sell the car and am wondering if these things should be fixed first, and what a fair price would be?
Thanks for any help.

Hmmm a fair price? How about the price of a gallon of gas and one match. Burn the pos to the ground. The re-seal for the oil leak will run well over $1500 and the front struts about the same.

my 89 leaked oil and all it took was to snug up a few loose oil pan bolts on the drivers side to fix it.

Well, if the oil just leaks around the pan, make sure the bolts are to the correct torque specs and if they are make sure there are no holes in it. If its neither of those, drain the oil, and drop the pan of and replace the gasket. My trans oil pan leaked and alls it took was a simple gasket replacement and now its fine. Easy home project, just a little messy as their is no drain plug in a transmission oil pan.
