blew my motor

It was starting to knock like a whore saterday night so I parked it then went and picked it up last night, went to drive it home(30 miles). It started to run really really bad and started to smoke really really bad. Then I lost all power and so much smoke you would not belive. Oil is everywhere under my car. Towed it back home. Looks like a new bottem end. I need to sell the car soon so I am looking into just getting a used 420a block(dsm or neon) and droping it in their. I really dont want to mess with rebuilding. Mainly beacause its so much work, I think i fucked my crank, and I would probly do somthing wronge.

Fuck no I have to drive my $200 rice buring truck. Fucking DSM's it just looks so dam nice.

Actually my 97 GS just blew a motor on Friday. So I'm donating it for a tax rebate (damn NY taxes being so high) and I can hopefully find something nice. I've got a 96 GSX lined up, just needs a new clutch. So hopefully I can clinch that deal.

haha my motor isnt blown yet but im so close to torching it and claming it on my insurance i feel you....these cars suck

Eh well, we put in something with the insurance and may or may not have had the guy at the autoshop tell the insurance agency that the real seal blew it's self out. The agent bought it. That's how I've got 4500 to find a new car and we still get to donate the old one.

I am gunna hit the local junk yards soon to look for a running neon block. Swap the oil pan on it then have my friend swap it in and boom. Blah it sucks being poor.

Well I've got a 96 GSX lined up for 3,000 that's about an hour and a half away. It could use with a new clutch, but it's not vital (yet) so hopefully I'll be able to get the car, a new clutch and have some cash left over to get it a 97 front bumper...Just don't like the way the earlier ones look.

That thing had a bumper but i was doing 45 and hit this cross street that bumps way up caught a shit load of air and landed on it. The thing drives great. Lol i am putting some of my sterio from my eclipse in it.(no room for a sub:() I think with all the bondo, fiberglass, and carpet i have left over from my other projects I am gunna fix the body paint it(left over paint, and I have all the stuff you need). Make it nicer then sell it for more. I could swap a rotary in it. I wish it was a mitsu might max so I could drop a 4g63 in it.

Damn, I have the same exact car, white too. I didn't blow my engine, I don't think, but it doesn't start now. Stalled just as I turned into my street, had to push it back cuz it wouldn't start. I feel your pain, brotha.

Your Neon engine hunt might push me in the right direction, tho, if it has to come to that. Too bad I suck at working on cars.

My car dies a lot. I have had honda people help push. lol I feel low. The best part about the truck is that I can hit shoping carts. I push them all day long and when i get off work I push them really hard really fast.

Well I searched my local junkyard for a wrecked Neon, but all of the engines were smashed in or totally rusted. So I'm unfortunately having to get a 2001 Neon R/T. I mean it's got leather interior and 5 spd and the engine puts out 150hp, but if you can find one they're really nice cars and a few tricks could probably get you up a couple dozen horses. Now that I'm done trying to make myself feel better about it, I'm going to cry over losing my DSM... :( Maybe I can take some pictures next time I'm out there and show you what I mess it is under the hood...I wonder if I could take my air intake off of it... :evillol: Doubtful, but ohwell.

thats what happend to my car....it started nockin like crazy so i pulled over checked the oil it was low put some oil in it and started driveing again then less then 5 miles down there road it just lost power and there was oil everywhere... and theres a hole in the block :-/

Ugh...Much as I love my DSM, my dad wants to put a new motor back in the car...The problem being that A)it's gonna take 2-3 weeks, B)the frame is twisted and has been since we got it, C)the body is still gonna have 100k miles of hard driving in NY on it, D)the front bumper is wrecked and E)the tranny is about to implode...I wish I could just drop a 4G63 into it, but everything is back asswards. :disappoin
