Chevrolet has decided to Discontinue the camaro after the 2002 Model. Along with the Firebird, they both will not be seen after the 2002 Models. They plan on releasing the SSR which is like a F150 Lightning, but lower and eqipped with a Vortec 5.7 liter.

hotrod tags??
ridge_runner
07-27-2004, 12:20 PM
yea....i cant get historic tags yet cause my car isnt 25 yrs old so i got hotrod tags. but in order to get those the car has to be atleast 20 to 24 yrs old and no longer be in production.. thus i have to get no inspections or nothing

Do most states have inspections? It seems that everyone I talk to has them. I never knew how serious they are about this stuff untill I went to see a friend in PA and found out what they can fail you for. I feel fortunate MI drivers don't have to endure this crap. Hell, I've had body parts fall off of my vehicles before while gong down the road (well, the tailgate of my old F150 fell off in a carwash, but close enough).

haha.. here its a one time thing... you have to get it inspected and everything has to be good.. they check everything.... i had to buy one for my bronco cause it needed ball joints and still does.. lol... usually after people get it they go out and mod there cars..but it sucks cause when they go to sell them they wont pass...

Well, most of the water in the lakes around here is clean but some...uh...ISNT!! In PA, they have to get it inspected every year. My friends brother had to fix the door handle in the back of his ext. cab or he would have failed. Around hear, my friend drove his 80-something Toyota/Nova for a year without being able to open the drivers door without a coathanger.

And good ball joints are HIGHLY overrated.

Arizona doesn't have inspection (with the exception of the super uptight city of Mesa where you can't smoke a cigarette in your own front yard). You should see some of the heapers on the road. But then again, a couple of my vehicles would never have passed a smog.....
