what is the difference between a walbro 255 high pressure and low pressure fuel pump....also what are the pros and cons of removing the balance shaft???

As for the pumps... A high pressure pump needs a fuel pressure regulator and the low pressure does not... that's what I was told by eclipserst anyways.....
As for the balance shaft removal.... it is just one less thing that can go ka-put in your engine!!!! LMAO

Yea, the balance shafts have been known to go nuts and get entangled in the timing belt, therefore causing a SHITLOAD of problems. Plus, it's one less place for a common oil leak to occur. The downside to removing the shafts is that the engine will vibrate a little more at idle.

Nope.
Both versions of the 255 will require the regulator. There actually isnt a lot of difference in flow between the two at low pressure (~35 psi). They really seperate at around 30 psi boost (73 psi). The HP version has a higher pressure spring in the relief valve, so it doesnt open as early.
