Hey guys!

Im new to this forum and i was hoping that you guys might be able to help me out. I have a 1986 t-bird but it also in some cases is a 1987 t-bird cuz i apparently got the nice change-over year model. This makes my life a lot more difficult when it comes to repairs. My latest task i am trying to complete is changing the fuel filter, the only problem is i cant seem to find the filter anywhere! Im still trying to figure out whether it is a fuel injected or carberated and i know whereabouts to look depending on which model. I've checked both places it suppose to be located and i cant seem to figure it out, so i hoping that one of you guys would be able to give me some tips or links to any websites with info, or just any help at all. Thanks guys

Eternally grateful

it is going to be fuel injected. just follow your fuel lines under the car & you`ll find the filter .it`ll be under the car.if memory serves correct, it`ll be about a foot before the passenger rear tire inside a 4" round cover that is held in by 2 screws. you`ll see the fuel lines going in & coming out. squeeze the clips with a pliers to release the lines.
