I need help finding the pcv valve location on my V6 3.2L 02 Rodeo. Manual didn't help as pictures were for an older model. I tried many times but failed. If somebody could be nice enough and take a picture for me--that would be awesome. Thanks all! This is my very first post btw.

Thanks for the reply Ryan! I am one of the great fans of the Isuzu FAQ website that you came up with. Anyway, I know I'm just overlooking the PCV valve, so is it on the middle of the right valve cover? Can you spare some time and take a picture of it for me? thank you much!

Thats it. Good pic Ryan! Only thing slightly different is the PCV valve will thread into the valve cover on a 2002+ 3.2L. You'll need a large crescent wrench or the likes to loosen it up. IIRC, it's like a 3/4" or 7/8" hex on the PCV valve body. The OEM valves are pretty sturdy and take well to a good cleaning with carb/intake cleaner.

Thanks..I found it. I was just overlooking it. The thing is the pcv valve that I bought is made of plastic and kinda looks different than the stock one which screws directly on the valve cover. I know I gave Kragen the right model/year but how come it's different?

If it looks different, it is probably wrong. Take the old one out and compare side by side. If it is wrong and you need to take it back go with the OEM part. Many on these boards say they are a better fit. OEM is more money, but it seems to be better.

When I went to change mine out, I could not find it either. I, as you, asked here where it was. I felt like a fool. It was right under my nose.

Definately DO NOT use aftermarket, parts store PCV valves for the 1998+ 3.2L!! (any vehicle/engine for that matter), they typically are not flow metered properly & almost never fit right. Get one online or from an isuzu dealer. www.stcharlesauto.com would be my choice.

Is there any way to tell if the PCV Valve is bad? If my trooper is running well, is it pretty safe to assume that the valve just needs a good cleaning?
