Well, like I said, I could not find any headbolts for my 92 zu 3.1, so I did what many others do...call Merlin.

Actually, I sent a message, and got one back the next day from Merlin, saying they had the parts, gave me a part number, and told me he can ship them to Canada UPS for a minimal fee.

I called in my order, spoke with Nick, and he was very helpful and informative.

I'd just like to say that if anyone needs parts, I would HIGHLY recommend calling St. Charles Isuzu. They are the most friendly, easy to deal with, helpful and decent parts counter I have ever encountered!

Yup, I have talked both to Nick and Merlin. Super easy to work with. And it is nice that they offer the email lookup and quote system too.

How's that e-mail look-up and quote thing work? I sent e-mails on a couple of occasions asking for a quote and have never gotten a reply. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong?

what part did you ask for?

There were a couple of parts I asked about the first time. One was the letters LSE for the driver's side but I can't remember what the other was. The second time (this past Saturday) I asked about the FL ABS speed sensor.

I used the e-mail link on their website. Just never got an answer either time.

It usually takes them 3-5 days to answer emails.

There is a possibility that it got blocked by there spam blockers, or by your spam blockers too.

You have a couple of simple parts and they should be able to find them quickly over the phone.

Do you live in St. Charles MO? I do too. I have taken my Rodeo to St. Charles Automotive/Isuzu and they can never figure out what is wrong with my Rodeo. At least they don't charge me when they can't find anything though...

But they can't seem to help me much.

They appear to be a huge, multi-brand dealer just like most these days. I'd bed they don't have any 'isuzu only' service techs, maybe one or two if you are lucky with a good isuzu background. Luck of the draw if those guys are on shift & available when you need them. As far as internet/mail order isuzu parts, these guys are tops and the best prices going.
