Unbelievable… I had order a front strut-brace for a few months back… it didn’t fit…. I ordered another brand at another store… I received it yesterday and was just busy with ‘fitting it in’ … is the strut-brace too long!!!!!! (yep it's an adjustable... and still too long!!!)
What are that of a monday morning manufactures!!!!
I’m not angry or so but totally in unbelief how a !@#$%^^ manufacturers these are…tssssss.

I hope that my strutbrace will fit like a glove when I get it. Same here. I´ve ordered the Neuspeed strut brace about six weeks ago and it will still need one to four weeks to arrive here I´d guess. If it´s not going to fit then I´ll §&%$*+'# !!! ;)

Yeah sometimes manufacturers or dealers just have to take that long
to ship it in or something like that.

I have the same problem, I wanted that double exhaust that I talked about
in another post and I have to wait like 2 months before I can pick it up
It has that long deliviery time. :(
With my open air intake I had to wait like 1,5 months, becuase it had to
come out of Itali

The reason they take so long is that they are waiting on enough orders before they have them sent over from the USA. It wouldn't be worth there time if they where to send over individual orders. The cost of shipping would be too expensive.

If you group all of your orders into one shipment you can spread the costs over all these orders.

Still doesn't make me happy as when I ordered the exhaust they told me 14-20 days before I have it

Some more 'frustrated' people... haha

To make some fun: At least I have something and you don't :D

no, I hope you don't have to wait that much longer (a friend of mine had to wait about 9 weeks for his pug 106 gti... about 1 week to go... fun for him, than he drives me out :(((( )

I went to the shop today where I bought it... they wanted to lift my car so it has some more room between the 2 struts. I can get that that makes some minor difference... but not about (at least) 1 cm!!! what I need. So i didn't wanted that. I heard before that some pretension is ok... but 1 cm??? I don't believe it... , they don't know shit of mechanics imo!!...
They will call this monday to the supplier(?)... I'll wait and see... now driving with a strutbrace without a brace between :))))

Today I´ve called the german DC-Sports shop and they told me AGAIN that my Neuspeed strut bar will need about eight additional weeks to arrive at my place! I´ve already ordered it about two months ago!!! So I´ve told them to keep their shit. I´m f**king pissed about this crappy shop. :finger4: But the worst thing is that I don´t have got any idea where I could buy it elsewhere. AVB-Sport in belgium also sells them but I can´t speak any french anymore and I can just understand dutch but not speak it. Any ideas?

Maybe send them a e-mail in english??
Or try to call them in english, if they are trying to be a real shop
they bound to speak english :D

everyone in holland can speak english... most of them german too
I suppose that belgians can speak english well too... and maybe even german... belgium is our backyard :D ... haha not meant anything bad or so... I myself don't understand why the netherlands and belgium don't combine to one country, so the 2 of us get bigger :)

@veetec... have you paided already?? I'm more carefull with that in the future, because 'my shop' don't want to give me the money back for my strutbrace ...those M-F !!!
They just tell me to put 1 cm pretension on it... suppose how the hood looks when i do that... Then i got about 1cm gaps at each side!! (the gap-line between the hood and the side-piece) (i don't even know how to get that 1 cm pretension in it anyway)... stupid @#$%^^&

Has anybody ordered anything from AVB which is coming from the states yet? I just want to know how much they´ll charge for it over the normal US prices.

Yeah that would be a good idea ;)
It would also help the tuning scene in Holland
I think that the scene is much bigger in Belgium than in Holland

Just look at all those meetings they have in Belgium :D

Luckily I´ve found a member in here who´s selling aftermarket parts and who would send it to me! I just need to know his price for the strut bar and how I can pay (no creditcard here). :)

I dunno if I can trust him and I don´t have got any family over there. Some AF members have already bought some stuff from him and he told me that he´s a website vendor of variuos online clubs and that he´s in progress of having a shop in Riverside, California. He seems to be okay but who knows for sure!?
Has anybody of you ordered anything from an US aftermarket shop yet and could tell me which would be the best way to pay for both of us? And how is `Paypal´ working?
A fast response would be nice! Thanx in advance!

Finally got my strutbrace installed... after doing very very difficult, the store ordered a shorter brace for me... so I installed it today :)
I checked it with rallying around... although that was difficult... roads were very crouded (@civic16i16v: almost 'shot' by a police car standing near the road to bornebroek... grrr)
the car seems to go somewhat easier through corners... but I haven't fully tested it yet... (what becomes that strutbrace hot after driving! almost burnt my hands :( )
now bussy considering an accord type R '99 ... looks real nice... but I don't know what I'll do... still a lot of money ... €21450 .. although not too much for a type R i think...with cd changer... 'route plan thing'... airco ... armrest... alarm... HID headlight ( is this xenon???? )

I must agree its a really nice looking car.
I could go for a car in Championship White with a "Type R" logo on the side and the grill :)

Beauty isn't it? .. the only problem is I like my current car also very much.... it's only the power I miss.
But the type-r is nice 2... and I've to clean it often...white... you can see every @#$#-bug that splashes on the car.... well, I'm going monday to the dealer I think.... ask what price they can make it for... and then I've to put my finances together and so on...Sidney has his 106 gti! Maybe you'll see him tonight at the mac :)

The guy from the states would send me the Neuspeed front upper strut brace for $190 including shipping. Do you think that´s too expensive? The normal price for the strut brace is about $130 so it would be $60 for shipping. I dunno how much shipping costs normally for a "long" object like that so please give me your opinion.

That's way too much man, I got mine shipped for $100 last year, ok I got a good deal but the shipping was only $20-30, there's no reason why it should be more, although the package is long it's extremely light. Who are you dealing with?

Yep, I have the neuspeed. I got it from car-parts.com before they were taken over. I had a discount too but the shipping was only the price above. There's no reason why it should be more and I'd guess if you shop around you should find it cheaper, ordering from the US that is.

I've decided I dont do it, I've been to the honda dealer today... asked what they gave for my car... than it was too much I had to lay by (good english??)
I asked at avb sports what the neuspeed would cost for my car... i can't remember how much it was, but it was about $190 too. imo it's too expensive for 'just' a strutbrace.
Do you know how much shipping is for a car from the netherland to suriname? about €450 !! not much compared to that strutbrace. A bicycle will cost less than €25 shipping

I´ve canceled my order today and sent an e-mail to www.digitalracer.com to ask them what their price would be and if they would send it here. $190 is really too expensive and then I would have to pay about $60 for the bank transfer again. :(
