creaky noise - front passenger side

there is a creaky noise coming from the front right passenger side...i got my control arms changed 6 months ago...so it's not them....it creaky's when l go over bumps or coming to a stop...could it be my shocks or coil springs....if so is it expensive to fix...

did you replace all 4 control arms there is a recall open on certain model year a-4.. also chek your tie-rod ends and your upper inks...i have never seen shocks or coils make a creaking noise

I have the same problem too what it is is the rubber boot on the axle they break and rub the metal

the boot is the cv boot i believe. i brought mine in for that recall for the upper control arms and told me i needed to replace the lower control arm and the cv boot on the front drivers side, there was something else i cant remember right now but ill post if i find the paper work. anyway, i have a creak in the steering so i dont know the cv boot would be related to that or not.
