Gauge problem?

I was taking out my guage cluster from my 92 civic hb and two wires touched metal and then all the gauge needles dropped and now their is no power going to them. The lihgts on the cluster work still but the gauges don't. So i figured it would be a fuse but I couldn't find a fuse for the gauges themselves ony the lights. Could anyone tell me why this happened and how I could fix it?

Sounds to me that you may have burnt some cicuit board components. You should take it to an electronic repair shop and they should be able to tell you to either replace the cluster or replace the "fried" components.
