Whats up guys. I just wanna know what you would recommend for sway bars on my S14. I am debating between the Suspension Techniques bars, or the Tanabe Sustec ones. I realize that the Tanabe ones are thicker which could be better, but the Susoension Technique Bars seem to hug the undercarriage a lot better since I am also going to be using this for Auto X along with Drifting. I was just wondering if anyone might know from experience or have any recommendations because I just cannot decide on one of the two yet. All help is appreciated. Thanks.

i am currently using suspension technique sway bars on my car, they work fine, and they're pretty thick ( not sure of the exact diameter though ) i would assume hte tanabe ones are goin to be adjustable. but i 've never had any problems with my ST sway bars and they links never came lose like the ones on the whiteline ones. so its up to how much you want to spend. i'm pretty sure the tanabe ones will feel better though.

So you think those Tanabe's would be great for Auto X as well as drifting?

Auto X you need travel and some body role so you will DIP into the turn and hence TAKE the turn.
for drifting you want the car to a solid as a brick so it will slide.
what i mean by DIP is that you want your car to have travel, and also you want to have some body role that matches your driving habit. A 25 mm SB in the rear will make the back TWIST more and hence stay DIP and not snap out. If you want to drift, get a 27 mm rear, that will make the back of the car come loose on every turn.
AUTO X requires FAR more TUNING then DRIFTING
u can DRIFT a VAN, u can't auto cross a van.
Don’t get me wrong, I love drifting but auto x is far more DEMANDING in every aspect, driving and tuning.

well you could auto cross a van, it would just be damn funny to do. And well pointless, but hey you can get home with the groceries faster!!!!!
As far as the sway bar thing. They both will get the job done. I dont know the prices of each but im assuming the tanabe's are more expensive. It just depends on the brand you want i guess. I too like some of the tanabe pieces out there, but dont like the price for it. But hey you get what pay for(in most cases). Obviously tanabe has proven themselves throughtout auto sports. So it really comes down to, want you desire more.

Well, I think I might go with the suspension techniques bars because I am going to be using them for both drifting and Auto X, and I am pretty sure they will get the job done for drifting even though they are just a tad bit smaller than the Tanabe ones. Now that I read some more though, The Tanabe's are part of their "Drift Spec" Line which is leaned more towards drifting only. So Ill probably go with the techniques. Thanks for all of your input guys. Let me know if you have any more for me.

iin my honest opinion, i would try to find some adjustable ones. this way you can set it for drift or auto x. however i'm not sure if whiteline is the only compnay that makes adjustable ones for the 240.

Good point, but I want something that is going to be really effective, and the whitline ones just dont come close to the thickness of the suspension techniques or the tenabe ones. If there were some thicker adjustable ones then that would be nice, but I haven't found any yet. Thanks though.
