What is the difference between the FFV taurus and a regular taurus, I think they are set up for the E85 fuel. This is why i am asking, E85 is waaay cheaper here and i want to know what the differences are. Also, is there any way to make a 'normal' taurus run on E85?

this link gives a good overview of what a ffv Taurus entails: http://www.eere.energy.gov/afdc/pdfs/taurus.pdf
I wouldnt spend the money getting a reg. car converted to e85. Just find a Gen 4 FFV taurus. Plenty of them to go around.

the FFV's have slightly higher compression, forged pistons, and a special fuel computer that allows it to adjust the spark timing and fuel injector pulses for e85

i've heard that some taurus models run of off methanol, and ethanol. For the FFV models. FFV a.k.a Flex Fuel Vehicle
