Weird But A Good Tip

Hi everyone i got this good idea and tride it out and it works great. The tip is for people who dont want to ruin a model by brushing on paint for the little details, just get some sharpie markers. I painted my tailights and windshield wipers for this and works great. But keep this in mind dont paint the whole car this way. But i recomande trying on an old object first to see if you like the results and then move on. Hope you like it.

companys do make paint markers that are very good for little details and they come in alot of colors prolly work a little better than sharpie markers.

supaman, do u know what brand they are or a name? i have gel pens, and while they r good for detailing, they rub off very easy. i feel the gel pens r bests for interiors (dashes and control panels) and maybe some engine detailing.... i havent tried sealing them with a clear coat, tho that would prob keep em from rubbing off....

i use red sharpies' (the felt tip ones) for all my clear taillights that need color....it's the most painless, and quick way to get the job done

Amazing, here I was wondering how I was going to get away with not buying clear red paint for the Ferrari's tail lights and this thread pops up....I use gel pens for all kinds of stuff, and I also have some scrapbook pens (basically like paint pens, and they don't rub off) I've used sharpies for a few things as well, but not lights. I'll have to do this.

i have about 20 stadtler lumocolour markers, they're great for everything they have 3 different nibs (points/tips) and i've been using them for clear parts since i found this thread and they dont rub off or anything and i have loads of different colours, i'll use them for anodised look bits next.

Thanks fo the tip Benzon !
