brake lights

does anybody know how to remove the brake light bulb itself from the socket, on a 2002 4 door?

Should be a standard 1157 bulb, which can be removed by pushing in and rotating counter-clockwise. If it's not an 1157, no clue. But every vehicle I've ever owned has had 1157's in them.
