I saw these within about 20 minutes of each other a week or two. And I just want to know whats more popular. My vote is the SRt-10.

I don't know sh*t about these cars technically, but i absolutely hate the look of the Ram so on that basis alone i'd go for the F150.

Hmmm lets think about this a little bit. For the same price as a Corvette I can have a truck with a Viper engine in it. The only thing it can be used for is hot rodding and can't be used as a truck. If I had money to piss away then I'd get this thing. If not then I'd spend my money somewhere else, like get a Corvette that's the same price.
The Lightning on the other hand is cheaper and doesn't have a stupid wing on it to get in the way of the bed. You can haul some stuff and pull it and use it a bit like a truck. You can turn around though after a day of using it for work purposes and cruise in it that night.
Also the two are fairly the same in performance value so it makes little difference. Rumor has it though the next Lightning is going to have the Shelby GR-1's 6.3L V10.

Ram and even then only because of that engine.
Though the new F150 is supposed to be pretty nice inside, or so I hear.

To quote Car and Driver: "The Ram SRT-10 is about as practical as a gold-plated vacuum cleaner - and that's why we love it." No, it doesn't make sense to get the SRT-10 for performance when you can just get a Corvette for the same price. No, it doesn't make sense to get the SRT-10 for trucking when you can get a loaded Cummins-powered Ram for the same price. But the car's charm is in its uniqueness, presence, and all-around machismo. Still, I'd rather have the F-150 Lightning; it's a lot cheaper and not that much slower, and it's better looking too.

I'd go with the Lightning, it's sportier, and smaller, which I'd prefer. People talking about practicality, than your just kidding yourself considering either of these vehicles. And the SRT-10, is rarer, and will turn more heads, when I'm older, I'll prefer the SRT-10, but now I'll take the Lightning.

Ram because it's the better vehicle. Looks better, performs better, and will hold it's value a lot longer than the Ford.

Ford all the way, it looks way better and doesn't have a spoiler. I personally hate the dodge's front end, but the Hp and TQ might make it fun.

I'm not kidding myself because I've heard that from owners myself. Many guys like the Lightning more because they say they can haul their boat to the lake on a Saturday and go run in the 12s that night while cruising. The Lightning wouldn't be good for hauling wood or anything but you can actually put some stuff in there like boxes or whatever. The Dodge wasn't even made to do a thing like that.
And the SRT-10, is rarer, and will turn more heads, when I'm older, I'll prefer the SRT-10, but now I'll take the Lightning.
HA! If I want to turn heads then I'll get a regular Dodge truck, put the wing and hood scoop on and save thousands and thousands of dollars. It looks the same and the only difference is what's under the hood. It isn't a bad idea because I've seen a whole lot of Dodge truck owners taking this same path and they have a SRT-10 look alike.
Besides the things aren't that rare anyway. I saw seven to ten sitting in front of a Dodge dealership a few months ago. I drove by every so often and they just sat there collecting dust. I've seen the things around and it's hard to tell it apart from, like I said, all the look alikes.

I personally would take lightning. I'm personally biased toward for than dodge:ylsuper:. that's not the reason.the reason is following one: check these websites:
http://www-5.dodge.com/vehsuite/dispatch.do
http://www.fordracingparts.com/announcements/news11.asp
now the lightning cost less than $40k even after modes and about same hp as ram. while top of the line ram costs about $54k. now with the remainig 14k i could use it for carbon fober parts that can be put into the truck{hood, for example}, and what ever remains i can put in my bank account. let the LIGHTNING begin.:evilol::lol2::dogpile:

I would definately say the lightening for most of the reson given....cheaper, looks better, similar performance, more original
but a 6.3L V10 does sound fabulous....is this Ford's project Hurricane? I had heard rumors Ford was making a 6._L engine (project hurricane or something) that was gonna smoke the shit out of the Hemi, and the Nissan 5.6L Endurance

You are kidding yourself. That is nice that they can haul their boat to the lake and still run 12s, so can the Dodge. I don't know where you got the idea that the SRT-10 can't tow anything but they are rated at 7,500 pounds for towing. That is plenty to tow any boat down to the marina.
The SRT-10 isn't much more than the Lightning either. The SRT-10 starts at $47,000. Granted, I wouldn't buy it but I wouldn't buy the lightning either or any sport truck for that matter. However, if I were going to buy one it would be the SRT-10. Not just because my preferred manufacture is Chrysler but also because the SRT-10 is better looking in my opinion and it is faster in every aspect. It is just as practical as the Lightning is and it isn't much more expensive.
Some of you need to research things before you comment.

Exactly what I was thinking, why wouldn't the SRT-10 be able to tow a boat? And the SRT-10 can't put boxes in it.... it has a bed you know.
Anyways, all I meant was, if your going for the practicallity of a truck, why consider either of these, there purpose was for the fastest straight line truck, so if your looking for practicallity, look elsewhere.

I think you should do some research also....
First the two door Srt-10 can't tow anything the rear sway bar isn't made for and it doesn't even come optional with a tow package and if you ever look in a car magazine for it it says N/A for towing why because it can't.
The four door auto Srt-10 can tow 7500lbs but Dodge gave up trying to make it faster than the Lightning and the Srt-10 4dr can only hit 60mph in 5.5 seconds (AW). You say a Srt-10 doesn't cost much more well a Lightning can be got for $35,000 loaded so even if you take the base Srt-10 at $47,000 I guess it doesn't cost much more if $12,000 isn't much money to you.:uhoh:
So if you just what to go fast and not use a truck like a truck get the Srt-10, but if you ever what to haul stuff and still go to the drag strip on the weekends the Lightning is the only way to go. You know what I picked.

Good information there M3. I think another thing would be that wing Dodge put on there. It serves no purpose and just gets in the way.

You can say i'm a little biased on this. The Dodge is at least $15000 more and only 1/2 a second faster in the 1/4 mile. I know with just a little extra in the lightning it will smoke the dodge. If the next genaration lightning is priced high like the dodge I will just have to get a vette. I have a 94 and a 01 lightning. My dad bought an 01 a week after i did. My next door neighbor even got one after i took him for a ride.
