Slipping Transmission: Temporary Solution

I've posted before on how I was having problems with my transmission. What was it doing? When it got warm, it would slip in first gear terribly, and the car would shake. It started to drive me crazy. So I took it in, and they said that most cavaliers around my year (93) had problems with their transmission. The only solution was to get it rebuilt, and it would cost atleast $1k.
I figured that since it was only doing it when it was hot, i should try and find a way to cool it down. They origionally had the transmission lines running into the rad, which we all know how hot cavaliers run, so this didn't really cool it down. Inside the rad is a coil for the transmission line, but it cant cool down if the fuild inside the rad is hot. I went to a scrap yard and got an old transmission oil cooler for $4.00 and cleaned it up.[It's basically a smaller radiator but for the transmission] I mounted it in front the rad, and down low where it would get the most air. I re-routed the lines that went into the rad with some good rubber tubing, and hooked it into the new transmission cooler. In order to do this, i had to take out the battery, air box (even mod it a little so the lines wouldnt get pinched), and the fan (only 3 screws to undo.
Now, I've only had it in for 2 days, and it's been running greater than before. I've been driving it around for a long time now and in really hot weather, and hasnt once slipped in first gear. woohoo! =P
The reason why i posted this is because i know there are alot of people here who are having the same problem, and I thought i'd share my success. What would you rather do? Spend about 4 bucks for the transmission cooler, and a couple bucks for the hose? Or spend over $1000 getting it rebuilt? It's not a permanent solution, i know my transmissions still ruined, but hey, the setup working great. If anyone wants some pictures, just ask.

Good job! This would be a good one to datestamp, just to see how long the setup holds up. I don't doubt the MTBF will exceed your xpectations! Keep on chillin.
