i just got a 96 cavalier(not a chevy guy but it was a free car so i don't care) the cars good the only thing is that the left speakers sometimes cut out and when with the littlest bump the cd stops playing. it has a rampage radio. and from what i can tell the speakers are stock. does anyone know what this could be? thanks

well. first, rampage sucks lol. second do the speakers actually cut out or is it just because the cd skips. if the speakers are actually cutting out it may be because of the rampage systems wiring has gone bad check the wiring on the back of the headunit, then check it on the speakers.

toke the dash apart today gt to the head unit. but i could not get it out because the two srews that are supost to hold the radio in were not there. in fact the the radio seems to be held in places by two srews that were srewed into the mounting unit from the side of the dash. anyone know how to take the two panels off?

well im not sure what your saying but. can you reach the head of the screw or the tail of the screw? is it a heavy duty screw or just a small one, you may be able to just snip it in half with a good pair of dikes.

CD skips because it's a POS. Dann is write, rampage blows hard :)

Also if you wanna take of the dash, just pry off the sidepanels and then work your way over. Also, you need to pry of the window vent and remove the screws in there also.

Why not check the speaker wires at the speakers before taking the radio out?

guess that was easier than trying to get the radio out.
