Noise coming from Brake System

There is a noise coming from the left front of my 1996 dodge ram van 350, not sure if it is the brake cylinder that is mounted on oppsite the stearing wheel...? It started out only when I would make a turn, but now it comes and goes when i am driving straight or turning. The noise is a squeaky/rattle noise that stops when I step on the brakes. It's not the brakes themselve I am sure.

Does that make any sense to anyone?

Sure hope You dont have what I hade on my 88... the brakeplate had loosened completely.. just hanged on the screws when I noticed it (didn't drive the car myself so much back then)
