Do Turbos Get Worse Gas Milage??

I was just wondering, i have an 89 civic hatch, 94 LS B18 swap, if i turbo the car what kind of gas milage will i get?
Anyone with a turbo b18 swap on here let me know!

It depends. If you stay out of boost, then better. If you boost on your way to walmart, than worse.

if you care about mileage dont boost your car.....I pay $4 USD per Gallon where I live......and I could care less.

more hp = more fuel and air = less mpg
shouldn't be too drastic though, maybe 4-5 mpg difference? so if you had 30 mpg before u get like 25

To hell with 4-5 mpg if thats all it was I would boost all the time. I keep my foot out of it for a whole tank I get 30-32 mpg I play with boost everywhere I go 19-21 mpg. No lie if you put your foot in it it will kill your MPG.

Yea, a turbo will hurt gas severely... Your ECU works to even the fuel/air mixture out, so u dont run too lean or too rich... So when u add more air, the ECU in turn adds more gas... Which causes u to burn more gas...

I say boost it and buy a POS beater/daily driver.
