im taking u have a v6, so if im correct then u will be taking out the airbox and all the plumbing that leads to the throttle body. the slp will run from the throttle body, and down where the airbox was sitting into a cut out space where the box got its air supply. u will attach the 2 cones from under the car to the ends of the 2 cold air pipes. and your all done. its like a 20 min job. when u see it, im sure just by looking at it u will see how it goes its real easy.

Actually, wouldn't he have to leave the intake elbow going to the throttle body in? That is, if he got this SLP intake kit:

If you have a 3.8 95-97 then it comes with the elbow cuz we dont have it stock. A 3.4, comes with what's pictured and you use the stock elbow. Intake for 98-02 are totally different.
He either has a 3.4 or LT1... so yes keep stock elbow and hes getting whats in that pic. Its real simple and self explanitory

yeah i was about to say he has a part missing, but i wasnt aware the 3.4 one didnt come with the other elbow. but still its real simple, i felt like a monkey in a lab given a puzzle to complete lol. its like connect the dots putting that thing together

are you supposed to keep the bottom panels under the front left fender off. i installed mine after christmas this year, and i left it off... i guess it would fit back on but what have you guys done?

um yeah you put that back on, it keeps the majority of the larger dirt particals out of there along with water......

It depends n your environment. If its prettydry and not too dusty/dirty then you can leave it off, otherwise like cuda dude said your running the risk of waterlogging or getting dirt beating or your filters

im not sure about v6 4th gens but on the v8's the filter sits almost on the ground.... i would very highly suggest putting the pannel on

some of the older guys in my club told me to keep them on because it kept the hot air from the engine bay from being sucked up in the system. i asked them because i saw a lt1 in the shop and he had the same slp and the pannel was off. after they told me how dumb that was they went on to tell me why not to do it

I think you mean the blockoff plate while he means the actual black panel under the car
