I am having a problem getting the keyless entry on my 92 Town Car to work. I have checked the fuses and all appears ok. When I attempted to reset the code using the factory code numbers I hear to normal clicking response. When I press the 78/90 to lock the doors nothing happens. Does anyone know where else I can check to find what is causing this problem. Is there anything under the hood which may have gone bad? Any and all help is appreciated.

Then if that's not working, you may have to replace the Keyless Entry module. I believe in 1992 it's behind the glove box, but I'm not positive. You'd have to remove the glove box to see the module if that's the case.
In my 1996, the module is inside the drivers door.

Depends on the year of your Town Car:
These instructions will work on Lincoln Town Car models 93 94:
Turn ignition to RUN or ACC. Momentarily jump pins in programming connector located behind the glove box. All doors will lock then unlock to confirm programming mode. Press any button on 1st transmitter. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming. Press any button on 2nd transmitter (up to 4 transmitters total possible). Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.
These instructions will work on Lincoln Town Car models 95 96 97:
Enter 5 digit permanent entry code into the keyless entry keypad. Within 5 seconds of pressing last button of code, press the 1/2 button. All doors will lock then unlock to confirm programming mode. Press any button on 1st transmitter within 5 seconds of pressing the 1/2 button. Locks will cycle to indicate successful programming. Press any button on 2nd transmitter (up to 4 transmitters total possible) within 5 seconds of previous transmitter. (if the keypad light goes out before all transmitters are programmed, the entire process must be repeated). Press the 7/8 and 9/0 buttons simultaneously on keypad to exit programming mode.
These instructions will work on Lincoln Town Car models 98+:
Cycle Ignition from OFF to RUN 4 times within 3 seconds, ending in RUN. All doors will lock then unlock to confirm programming mode. Press any button on 1st remote transmitter. Door locks will cycle to confirm programming. Press any button on 2nd transmitter ( up to 4 transmitters total possible ). Turn ignition to OFF. Locks will again cycle to indicate end of programming mode.
Most Lincolns you can turn the key on and off 3 to 5 times and it will reset all the remotes, you know this work when the door locks go up and down, then hit the lock button on each remote, you have about 15 sec to hit each remotes. Your all done!!!

Thank you. I attempted to go to the lincolnsonline web site but had no luck. Does anyone have an idea as to the cost of the module?
