Time for a tune-up.

Its been probably 30k miles since my last tune-up and am planning on doing one pretty soon. Ive got a 1991 S-10 Blazer 4.3L V6 4 wheel drive. I want to know what the best brand of everything is. If I understand right, the AC Delco Platinum plugs gapped at .060 are the best for the 4.3L? Ive got a K&N Air filter so I just recharge that. The place where I need help, is the plug wires, cap, and rotor. What brands of these would be the best? Also, I need to know what else to do. Should I do the PCV valve and O2 sensor as well? Anything else I should do while im at it? Let me know, thanks.

Well i would just stick with plain old AC Delco plugs for it. Platinum will mess it up. Autolite wires are great. Pcv,fuel filter there not to bad to do. Vacuum hoses you could replace i think there are 2 on mine and thats below the drivers side headlight and they run back to the engine. Your right with the filter just recharge it and you will be fine. Cap and Rotor id say try to get the ac delco one if you could and the same for the rotor try to get a ac delco. Also replace your rad cap with a stant if you have not already

O2 sensor would be smart too.

Remember to reset the timing back to zero with the timing wire unattached to the PCM and reset the computer after everything is done.

Also, you might want to do a fluid change on everything.

I replaced the fuel filter about 9 months ago, so should I replace it again, or should that be ok for now? I just did a coolant flush/backflush or whatever its called when you run water through everything, but I was planning on doing an oil change. Ive had the car for a year and a half and driven it 22k miles. You think I should do a tranny flush? And if you do, is it something a person whos not a professional mechanic can do? And how do you reset the timing and computer? Thanks, just want to make sure I do everything and do it right.

Fuel Filter might be okay depends on how many miles since change.The timing just search timing wire i can not recall what that is right now off hand but a simple search on the board should bring it up

Do the rest and take the truck to a mechanic to have the timing checked with the timing wire disconnected from the computer.

Timing a vehicle is not for a novice bro, just saving you some problems.

Should only cost 20 bucks to have a mech do it.
