It didn't come out clean, but.....
I'm pretty satisfied with the homemade headlights and carbon fibre.

Your comments and critics please! It helps!

Looks great. But as a future suggestion, try to either save your work at a much higher quality, or try not to use red when saving at low quality, because red allways comes out the worst at low quality.

2. Create a new document, size = 2 pixels wide 1 pixel deep.
press Ctrl + 0 to zoom in to the correct size.

3. Grab the gradient tool and fill from left to right.

4. go to Edit+define pattern, save as carbon fiber.

5. select the "carbonised" area with the lasso tool.

6. Go to edit + fill... select carbon pattern and opacity= 75%
option= darken. desaturate by pressing Ctrl+Shift+U then go to image + adjustments + brightness/contrast.

7. darkeness to -50 then filter + blur + motion blur.
set the percent to 1 pixel.

6. fill the area again with the pattern as before but set the opacity to 50%

This was posted by NICECAR. But made a few variations in it. This would be my step 5,
1/You select the area to be carbonised,
2/Press ctrl+shift+u to desaturate it
3/click image>adjustment>brightness/contrast. Adjust the setting to your needs
4/Press ctrl+j to make to copy layer
5/hold ctrl and click on the new layer to select it
6/Then go layer>new fill layer>pattern and click ok in both windows...you can vary the size of the pattern before clicking ok if you want, but didn't do anything on the RX7
7/then go layer>rasterize>layer
8/go, Filter>distort>twirl
decrease the image size by the zoom slider
right hand click on the image and click on free transform
9/Edit the image until it covers the full area to be carbonized
10/Click on the layer you created
11/Press ctrl+shift+i to get the inverse of your selection
12/press delete, to erase all excess carbon fibre
13/Adjust your opacity
14/Merge down the layers afterwards
thats it, its mixture of my technique and that of nicecar. It may not be the best technique.
