cold air intake quick question

i do not hav ac in my car so is there a way to get the air cold in the engin liek a cold air intake? would it cool the air down in side of the car? i really dont want to pay 2000 for a ac kit so yea thanks

If you want to somehow convert an A/C compressor to an air pump for the intake, then it would cost more and take much more time then it's worth...you would have to run all the A/C lines, enginneer a whole lot of stuff. In short, just spend a little money and get a nice AEM intake.

i wasnt to clear so let me rephrase my self ... i want to get cold air in th my car with out running a ac kit in it . would a cold air intake be good for that not jsut only for the engin?

I don't know what you mean by an A/C kit...having A/C has nothing to do with an intake in the Focus, or really any car for that matter.

how much colder does the cold air intake make the air become? and is it the same air that goes to the driver?

I don't know the exact temp, but it's cold enough to warrant at least a 5hp difference. It's air from under the car, which is a hell of a lot colder then the really hot air from under the hood...also less restrictive then the stocker. It's certainly worth it.

If I am reading this right you want to make your interior cooler without buying and air conditioner kit aftermarket. A cold air intake only draws air from outside the car, rather than the hot air under the hood. The interior draws air from the vents fwd of the windshield, so you are in effect already doing the same. I suppose you could fab up a "swamp cooler" with a water pump and an injector but I suspect it wouldn't be worth the effort. Save your pennies and get an AC kit installed. Then you get cold air and a warranty. My $.02
