Anyone know if a bad CPS would make you cruise control act up? Mine sets, but shortly after it will shut itself off.

I don't believe there is a corrolation between the two. However, if the CPS is not allowing you to maintain proper speed because the car is shutting off then the Cruise will disengage. You problem probably lies in the Cruise control itself. They do go bad from time to time and you may need to get it diagnosed by a service tech.

Okay I have become quite the expert on CPS because I went over a year before I found this site. The only time the CPS affected my cruise control is when the cps would cause the car to shut off. But that really has nothing to do with cruise control thats all CPS.
