Got pulled over...

I was turning onto Taft Rd., and I noticed the light ahead was changing (after I had already made my way onto the street and was heading that way anyways) well it turns yellow, and I know where I am... so I punch it, turn left, while its still yellow... and whats hiding on the other side of the van thats right where im turning? Yup a cop...
He swings around, comes after me... and pulls me over. Hes like, do you know why I pulled you over - I replied with a no not really. He was like, well you seemed to have gone through that light a little late, it was green on my side -- I replied with, oh really -- it was just turning yellow when I went through it. He was like, can I see your license and registration please...
Ah shit, im getting a ticket... few minutes rolls by, and another cop pulls up, like blocks traffic in the direction I was headed and immediately im thinking, awww shit my license still shows up as being suspended, great. For those that dont remember, I went through this fiasco with my "suspended" license that wasnt even suspended back in October.
So the cop leaves, and thats a plus -- license is fine then. And the cop comes to the door a few minutes later and he starts talking to me and tells me I need to have my tint removed off my front windows because NY just passed a law where it cant be on the front windows (makes sence, NYC has this rule so I figured it wasnt long till the whole state did it) but he was telling me oh its only 35 mph through there and to slow it down and hands me back all my stuff... MINUS a ticket! Woohoo, kick ass, oh and as he was walking away he was like -- You got a nice car, you wouldnt want it to get all wacked up so just be carefull! Sweet, a cop actually complimented my car! :D :smoka:

That's tight, I wish more cops were like that, even if they all were I'd still be pissed when i get stopped but when they end up being cool with you it makes everything so non-stressful.

I wasnt suprised when the other cop pulled up, in parts of IL if not all i dont know, but if one cop pulls you over he calls for a second unit just to be on the safe side. Thats cool that you got a popo that wasnt a jackass.
If it were me and i thought that he was gunna give me a ticket, i would have got out of my car and flash my chest at him, even though im a guy he might deam it funny and not give me a ticket. On the other hand it might be counted as indecent exposure

Damn IL cops. They're always pulling over people in packs, aren't they? LOL. But, for every dick cop I've had, I've had at least one cool one. 3 tickets on record, 2 "see-you-later" warnings...one lucky bastawd...:D

ehh when I did something like that.....well squeeled tires because I had to prove my manlyhood lol jk there was a cop STANDING next to this other car looking at it and he pointed me over :( 1st thing he said to me was "Son do you like driving like an asshole" OMG I almost started dying laughing, as so did my gf and friend who were in the car....in the end..no ticket ;)
Another time a cop pulled me over for passing too slow...yeah figures...and he asked me for license and registration, and I couldn't find my registration, and while doing that he was checking out my car...(during the time I was repainting my rear bumper so I didn't have it on there), and he mentioned about me not having a rear bumper, passing too slow, tint(well he goes this looks like its a little illegal, but I just said "oh ok" not aggreeing or dissagreeing), and a few other things...I think he added up to like 7 tickets...and before he left he complitmented me on my custom interior, and stereo :D but just left and goes I know you prolly have your registration in there somewhere and left ;) cops love me :p

I never been pulled over, but I hope if I ever do, that I get a cool cop like that. I mess with cops alot. Pull up next to them and rev, pass them at just exactly 5mph over the speed limit, stuff like that. They don't care, cuz they are too busy oohing and aweing at my car :) Arkansas cops are funny :) Well, ones in the city are, the county ones aren't I've heard...

I have gotten 2 tickets in my driving carrer.
the first one was for an accident not caused buy me but the boner just had to give me a ticket cause i was 16 and just got my license and he knew it would hurt my record. i got that one cleared because the stupid bitch didnt show up in court.
The second one you might call me an idiot for, go ahead im used to it. We just had a really important soccer game(i was a spectator not player, im an over-weight white guy i dont play soccer) anyways there was a bmx track right down an access road from the field, and my buddy wanted to check it out. We hopped into my 94 chevy conversion van(long before i got my civic) and headed down there. We were lookin at some guys doin tight tricks off of the jumps when he pointed out a sweet jump at the rear of the track. Next thing you know my buddy turned his head to see an obstruction heading towards us at a good speed. He let out an "OH SHIT" I quickly responded to that with an "OH fuck" and we collided with a solid steel gate blocking the access to the parking lot. The people that had been on the track raced over, not to see if i was alright but to say "Hey man your fucked" The cop came and she was not that bad looking. Anyways i told the judge that i was a moron and he ripped the ticket up and i was let go.

well, your lucky. about 4 days ago i had gotten off work and i deliver pizza in my 89 plymouth voyager(5 speed i might add). well, a friend of mine pulled up next to me in his 01 camaro ss. so we joke around and rev up our motors, light turns green, he guns it tires squealing, mine just chirp and low and behold a cop to our right coming up to the light. my buddy in his ss is able to get onto another street quick enough but me in my high performance handling scca winning machine i cant and so the cop pulls me over. he gives me a 300 dollar street racing ticket. he is the same cop who pulled me over for my burnt out headlight twice. the jackass. so im hoping the judge will be nice to me for just chirping my tires. i didnt even break the speed limit.

blufke, that sucks! Talk about adding insult to injury, good luck getting out of that one. Hopefully you can point out that your car is in no way a "race car", but according to the law, you're pretty much screwed. Heres part of the law in Oregon, I'm sure yours is similar
ORS 811.125 Speed racing on highway; penalty. (1) A person commits the offense of speed racing on a highway if, on a highway in this state, the person drives a vehicle or participates in any manner in any of the following in which a vehicle is involved:
(a) A speed competition or contest.
(b) An acceleration contest.
(c) A test of physical endurance.
(d) An exhibition of speed or acceleration.
(e) The making of a speed record.
(f) A race. For purposes of this paragraph, racing is the use of one or more vehicles in an attempt to outgain, outdistance or prevent another vehicle from passing, to arrive at a given destination ahead of another vehicle or vehicles or to test the physical stamina or endurance of drivers over long distance driving routes.
(g) A drag race. For purposes of this paragraph, drag racing is the operation of two or more vehicles from a point side by side at accelerating speeds in a competitive attempt to outdistance each other, or the operation of one or more vehicles over a common selected course, from the same point to the same point for the purpose of comparing the relative speeds or power of acceleration of the vehicle or vehicles within a certain distance or time limit.

i got pulled over 1 time so far. i guess there was a cop behind me and i was on route 1 bouncin! speed limit 35 and the cop asked me if i was just being dumb and racing him. i really didn't see him until it was too late. but he just looked at my front end for a while.
there was a second cop and a K9 unit too. the dog would not stop barking~!@ scurred!
well i didn't get a ticket. the guy happened to be a friend of my grandmas and he remembered who i was from when i was 4. he told me to slow it down blah blah.
now my OTHER friend.. the one i crashed into. he got pulled over coming home from 6 flags at 95mph and the cop was next to him for a while but we didnt notice. - no ticket
he did a burnout up a hill and got a $78 ticket. i have it on video. CLICK (http://www.plex.nu/temp/silver_bullet/silver_bullet-burn.MPG)
he burnt out at a stop light once and got pulled over. the cop yelled pretty loud. but no ticket.
and just yesterday, my friend rick's corrado got RAILED by a cop car. it was the same cop that caught me having sex in a soccer field parking lot. she hit my friends car and its close to totalled. city's paying for it. there were like 6 cops there. looked like he was smuggling drugs for osama.

hey poison fangs...how's it going? to your question about where i'm located, I'm over a few minutes west of the st. charles area...i hate to generalize the area, but, it's snobbish for some reason. :( and all the roads out by me are turning 45 because things from there are moving out this way, i'm more than upset cuz now cops are setting quite a bit more speedtraps...oh well, there's more country roads from where those came from. hehe

Oh well, the tint on the frotn windows realyl isnt bad, I mean its not even like dark tint -- so im thinking maybe keep it on, but get the rear 3 windows redone cause they look like garbage. Of course I go for an open interview on Thursday (full time job so I can get benefits like medical insurance) I can then goto my doctor and get a note because I have migraines and the are effected by the sun -- so I could keep the front windows tinted :finger:

Let me honest it must really suck to be a guy. I mean you are almost always getting tickets when you get pulled. I have been pulled 4 times. Two for speeding, one for colored bulbs, and one for racing. All 4 times the cops have gave me warnings and no tickets. I must have some good sad looks. ;) But I love it.

I was in Easley, SC on 123 when I got my first warning ticket. I was running 72 in a 45. I just happened to have my ARMY booklet in the backseat. Well he saw that, and asked me if I was in. To tell you the truth, I went AWOL and never went to Basic Training. The MP's showed up on my door. (All this was before this incident.) So I lied to him and said, "Yeah, I'm in the reserves..." But I just got a warning, so it was worth it.
