We recently acquired a 97 Rav4 4wd, auto.
We have looked through the owners manual and can't find info on the ECT switch on the dash.
This unit , it appears is all wheel drive (4wd all the time). The owners manual makes a reference to a transmision/differential lock but it states that is for the manual transmission's.
The rocker switch on the center dash, to the left of the rear window defogger switch, show normal on the left, ECT in the center and power on the right. What is this for???

Also the windshield washer reservoir is in the fron engine compartment on the passenger side, is this also the fluid for the rear window or is there a separate reservoir for that?

Thanks in advance guys.

The ECT switch changes the shifting pattern of the automatic transmission. The "power" setting shifts at higher rpm than the "normal" setting.

There is only one reservoir for the winshield washer fluid.
