allright ...heres the deal now..i have a 1990 dx manual, im in the process of doing the mini-me swap an i got hooked up,wen i went to my local junkyard an got all this outta'a 1992 civic ex or mabey a dx ?witchever.so enyways i got this-
-ecu
-all of the wiring harness but i cut it at the firewall
-the whole upper half of the engine including
-intake manifold,vtec head an wutnot
-got the 4-2-1 headers
-the timing belt was like brand new so i got that too
Now my question is the female connections on the 92 ecu are different then the male connections on my 90 wiring harness should i go an get the whole harness from the 92 or should i modify my existing harness?
I also have a 1990 si ecu..should i use that?
wen u read this today i'll be taking of my dx head an gettin' my civic ready for instullation ....thanx guys
so if u guys can help me out here i'll be readin up on ur answers tonite so i can get this goin for tomorrow! tak'er easy lads
oh and i need to no which pins on the ecu r which so if enyone could give me a link to ecu pin diagrams that would be nice.

if you want to use the pm6 then you need a obd0 mpfi dist. if you want to use the obd1 dist and ecu then you need to get a obd0 to obd1 conversion harness and a 4 wire o2 sensor. oh and you gotta do the mpfi swap too

what head are you using?? and if you want your ecu to control vtec, try gettinga vtec ecu, one from a dx won't, you need a p28, and my advice is to buy a conversion harness

Well your post is kinda hard to read... Which car is this head and stuff from? A 92 EX or DX? Because a DX is not VTEC, and there is no point switching over and doing a head swap... If it is VTEC from an EX, then I highly reccomend u purchase a sub harness for the ECU (from here: www.rywire.com), it will take your preOBD ECU plus, and turn them into OBD1 which is the best way to run that head... You will have to wire MPFI (if u havnt already), all wiring except the resistor box (so JUST run the wiring!), and then change the injectors to the OBD1 (if running the p28 OBD1 ECU) ones on that head... And then as someone else said, a 4 wire O2 sensor... This is all stuff u should have researched BEFORE you bought anything tho... :nono: Good thing theres plenty of great sites to help out...
I would also highly reccomend u get a new water pump and timing belt, as that belt if it was pulled from that engine, is probably not going to work on your mini me... And even if it will, its reccomended to replace it anyways...
If u just really wanna wire the OBD1 yourself, try this page:
