iat sensor

can anyone tell me where the iat sensor is in the 90 gt-s. isnt it on the back side of the airbox next to where the the intake hose?

did u buy one of those ebya IAT sensor things? all it is, is a resistor, you could just go down to radioshack and get a 4400 ohm one and solder it in urself...but there useless anyway it wont do anything unless you had a tuned ecu...its like race gas, 87 and 99 octane in a stock celica isnt goign to give you any more power, youd have to have an ecu thats tuned and able to read the higher flash pointed fuel and be able to adjust the mixture accordingly, going to ur pump and putting 87 or 91 wont do anything in terms of performance, mabe in gas mielage or it may run a little smoother at idel, but it wont net you any more power unless you tune ur ecu

yea i bought one of yhose(big waste of money)when i first put it on i thought it was faster but u know how ur expectations can get in the way of the true results. after that i bought a short ram intake and put that on but then i did some zero to 60 tests and it was not any faster than stock. so then i took the chip off and did a 0-60 test and it was over a half second faster than b4. i talked to the guy whjo sold it to me and he said that i might have put it in the wrong sensor but turns out i didnt so i guess that ill just see if i can get my money back. thanks 91 celica st
