trailering with b2600i automatic

I'm planning on travelling 2000miles across country in May and am considering pulling a trailer and load weighing not more than 2000lbs with my b2600i Mazda in good shape.
I am concerned about overheating and power problems.
I would like to hear from anyone who has trailered with this truck.
