My 94 gt suddenly started shaking when I press the accelerator, I replaced my distributor cap and rotor but it still gives a little shake when i hit the gas, shakes a bit when idling also. Note that I have replaced my plugs and wires I believe in September. Any suggestions are appreciated, thx!

Check your harmonic balancer, they're notorious for failing if you have more than 50000 miles.

i dont mean to use your thread, but i have a similar problem, when i give my 91 gt a small amount of gas, just when im taking off from a dead stop, it feels like im pulling a trailer, has a small wobble or shake to it, could the balancer be the culprit or something else? It only does it from a dead stop with small amount of gas. Im gonna give it a tune-ep to make sure, but anything else to check? It has 116k miles. If it is the balancer, how can i check it, or do i just need to replace it?

I have a 94 gt that shakes also but it does it under a load or when changing gears. Its an automatic tranny and turned out to be the torque converter.

I had the same issue a year ago, the Tranny Mount was shot. I replaced it with a Polyurethane, fixed the problem :D

Sorry for piggybacking your thread, but the search works better this way!
I have a 96 LX and am having the wobble when I accelerate, expecially up hills when the RPM drops to 1000. And I'm not sure why it drops to 1000, and a complete diagnostic of the electrical system found nothing.
I also just replaced the plugs and the wires and had them checked to make sure that wasn't the problem.
