91 Katana 1100

I will most likely be buyin a 91 katana 1100 soon, the guy is selling it for $500 so i figure it will be a decient starter and i wont have to worry to much about messing it up when i drop it. It dosent come with farings though, but that dosent really bother me i like the look of naked bikes. Can i run it without the side farings and just mount up the head light some other way? So what are you guys thoughts on this bike, i know its a big bike for a biginner but i have ridden motocross for the last 5 years and i am able to adapt to different bikes easily.

come on no one? This is the look im going for this is a 81 katana 1100 and i think it looks amazing http://goldwing.bikepics.net/suz-gsx1100-81-bikepics-02264.jpg but it looks like he put a different swingarm and wider rear tire and wheel on it though, would a swingarm off a 91 gsxr1100, 600, 750 bolt onto the 91 katana 1100 frame? Thanks
