IT WORKS! anyways what i did was i put my rx-7 in a testors cheapo show off box plastic clear see threw you know, because i didnt want dust on the paint job and because the fumes werent getting out it fogged the clear coat and ruined a very good paint job. :banghead: fixing that problem i thought why not drill holes in the buttom of the case? it will let the fumes out air in no dust falling on it tho! so i did and today i tested it with the scrap body of the bmw that turns out had better paint on it after clear than most of my models! heres some pics

I also used a schratched displaybox, but i thought ahead :) and put erasers at the corners ,so the diplaybox-cover had a 1,5centimeters distance from the baseplate= good ventilation of gases!

Putted it in the kitchenwindow (sunny day :) ).
Dried quickly .

For drying painted parts, an old food dehydrater works wonders. Does not get hot enough to warp parts, but helps to dry quicker. I picked up an old one from a garage sale, and cut the center trays to give added height for bodies.

Can you explain why you may have thought this. Has me stumped. i put my bodys in a show box right after i paint them so they dont get dust on them the fact that the fumes werent getting out of the box made the wet clear coat foggy so i made ways for the fumes to get out kinda get it now? if not i can show pics and try to explain

I understand why you put it in the box etc to keep the dust off and putting holes in it to let the fumes out. What i dont understand is why you think the fumes made the paint go foggy

i was told by my friend who paints alot of cars and by some other ppl thats the reason.I see no other reason the paint was perfect on my supra before i put it in the box and same with the rx-7.I guess i solved the problem because the test body isnt getting foggy and its been in the box for almost 4 days straight. i hope this answers your question thanks for postin p man means alot :sunglasse

hey i kinda have the same contraption as u to dry kits.
its a cradboard box, with holes cut in the top, back and sides and coffe filters covering the holes. i even put a shelf in the middle so i have 2 layers!!
it does a grat job of keeping parts clean.
if ayone would like pics, msg me and ill post some!
