90 Ford Escort..........

There is a 1990 Ford Escort that i am planning on getting for my summer car. The car is $600obo and it is in very good condition. The milage is said to be 56k. I didnt call about the car yet because it is a little late and so ill wait till tomorrow. My question is do the miles roll over on 1990 Ford Escorts? and how much possibility is it that the car may be a manual?(i dont want manual)
