TVR Tuscan vs. Viper GTS

I take the Tuscan. The looks are way better in my opinion. The performance losses are well worth what it has in exclusivity and looks.

i think that i'd go with the Viper.. i really dunno why, but i think it looks more muscular.
Also, i don't like Tuscan's headlights.
Does anyone think the same?

I like this TVR, but, I'd go with the Viper on this one.

There was a time a couple years ago when I was BIG in the Viper GTS. I know, total opposite of who I am today (being a Honda man and all), but in time I grew to appreciate the beauty of more higly tuned, smaller displacement-engined cars, like the 911. But between these two (as much I love the rims on the TVR below - beautiful), I'd take the Dodge.

ya, id take the viper too..

even though i like the styling of the tuscan better, the viper would wipe the floor with it..

Well I don't know much about the TVR but it look pretty dame good. I would take it because I really don't like the Viper and I think that the TVR cost more.

the tuscan actually costs about as much as a vette z06.. right in the ~50k range.. considerably less than the viper.

the tuscan is almost as fast as the viper is too..both cars run the 1/4 in the 12's..( low 12's for the viper, high 12's for the tuscan )..

in terms of styling id definately take the tuscan.. for everything else, ill take the viper.. thanks.. but i said that already :D

That is a pretty cheap car for the performance it has. Yea I like the looks better too.

I think your figure of ~50K range is wrong...unless you're saying british pounds. Check here.

That works out to just under $70,000.

accel times are only slightly slower than the Viper, the tuscan claiming 4.0 to 60.

Oh well its still a good deal for that I would take it over the Viper anytime now that it is 0-60 4 seconds and high 12s in the 1/4 mile.

everythign ive read about the tuscan says its about 40k pounds, which is about 50-55k USD now ( seeing that the value of the pound has dropped so much, from about 2:1 to about 1.3:1 in the past year or two )..so, it costs slightly more than a z06.. maybe the same price as a 2001 m3..

What is the top speed on the TVR Tuscan. What is it a 5 speed,6 speed, or is it one of those stupid Automatic.

I don't see what's so great about Tuscans' styling. From the quadruple-halogen headlights to the "holey" grille, all I see from the front is the face of some giant insect. Nice in profile, yes, but they need to soften up that fascia before I can look at it without having to cover my eyes with a sheet to prevent blindness.

I like both but I prefer the Viper in all ways.

I don't really like what TVR are doing with headlights nowadays.

I don't think the "holey grill" made it to production. It was on the concept, but I thought they changed it.

check tvr's website.... the tuscan s gets 0-60 in 3.6 seconds.. that's quicker than a viper! That's crazy and with the chameleon paint job the engine upgrade, the full trim package inside it's only 53180 pounds which as of today at 6:53 in the morning is 88,734.15 usd. so... I'd take the tvr.. about the same price, more exotic, and better 0-60 performance. the handling probably isn't as good as the viper, but that damned paint job has me hooked
