Guys, found this 1995 Accord EX, awesome condition inside and out. Place is selling it for like $6,000, and i can get the car today with jus $500 down. Here's a link to it:

AutoTrader Link (http://autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=180043574&dealer_id=635091&car_year=1995&make=HONDA&distance=25&lang=en&max_price=&model=ACCORD&sponsorModel=&end_year=1995&min_price=&certified=&address=34472&search_type=both&advanced=&start_year=1995&isp=y&cardist=4)

Power everything, even has a sunroof, and the air conditioning works! Need to make a decision fast, what should I do? Keep the civic, or grab the accord?

It's a nice Accord... You have to think about whether you can afford payments, taxes, and gas.

hmm, it gets better highway mpg because of the overdrive so i would definitely save there, and 23 mpg from the 4-cyl with 145hp isn't too shabby. I took it for a test drive and it accelerates smooth! as much as i love the civic, i'm really leaning toward the accord right now. For the price of a paintjob, fixing the engine, and getting new brakes and fixing the air conditioning, i could put all of that money toward the accord and get the same thing (minus the paintjob, but it looks good for a 95)

New paint job:$2000 (roughly)
Engine swap with about 50k on engine:$2000 (roughly)
Brakes, ac: $500
Saved $1500, no payments, and a like new civic.

That also depends on who he knows.

New paint job: (reg. $2.5k) $400
Engine swap: about $2000 is right for a basic swap.
Brakes, maybe $100
AC: Who needs it, more room for the turbo.

Im personally a Civic guy myself... But what it come down to is your own preferance... A Civic, at its heart, is an economy car, which means its light and great on gas, so a swap is perfect for a Civic and it has plenty of potential... An Accord is a higher class car, more of a 'luxury type' Sedan, its heavier, has more options, isnt as good on gas, and swaps for them are limited and are generally more expensive than a Civic... If u want a car for performance and/or economy, go with a Civic, if u want a car to haul the family around in, take long trips, or to just cruise the streets, get an Accord...

well guys, i found a great solution

i went ahead and put $500 down on the accord, and payments are like $200 a month which is perfect for my budget. insurance for another car is an extra $500 every 6 months, which is great also. So, i'll be keeping both cars. I could never sell my civic, can't part with my 4g4d!

So i'll keep both cars, use one as daily driver when i'm hooking up the other, and my dad can use the civic when mom has the other car, so it all works out :)

For now i'll be primarily hooking up the accord and trying to pay it off. It has stock tape player and all stock speakers, so that's going to need to change soon!! But next thing the civic is going to get is a wash :)

I'd keep the Civic. You've invested alot of time and money in it already. If you get ris of it, you'll miss it.
