I was just thinking about this earlier and I was wonder how much everyone here that's in college/university studies on the average day??? I'd have to say I do atleast an hour but usually close to 2 hours in a day. Oh and if you've graduated from college how much did you study???

I take my studying in large, hard to swallow doses, and wash it down with lots of coffee.

I have about 20 hours of studying ahead of me in the next 5 days.

Agreed. Got me on the Dean's list too.

about 7 hours of studying minimum a night and about 14 or so each day on the weekends. I was actually working on a class project from 7 till midnight last night and we will have to do that again to get it finished.

Study.... um I think I did that once sophmore year?

In all honesty I really don't study, I work a full time job and a part time job totalling about 60-80 hours a week and am a full time college student as well... so yeah not alot of time for studying. But of course this may be why I am finishing up my 5th year and will be doing one more semester in the fall... My friends are starting to call me Van Wilder :shakehead

Seriously, what's studying???

Between my time here on AF, MySpace, games, going out, IMing, and emailing, I ain't got time for such trivial nonsense.

I pull all nighters when I have to or study for about 3 hours before a test. All nighters go towards projects more and essay than tests. Meh...college is a bore. In the academic sens,e but it's only my first year. 3 more to go! w00t w00t

I study at work...well partly. I'd say I get about 4-5 hours of studying/homework done every shift.

I never really studied in high school or college. I found that I have a photographic memory and when I took tests, I could "recall" the info from my notes or lecture. I graduated in the top 3% of my high school class of about 520 people, and made the Dean's List in college 3 out of 4 semesters. My wife dubbed me a walking encyclopedia and phone book as I never forget anything.

I dont study...ever, i'll skim through my notes right before a test, that's about it. I seem to do pretty well without it though, studying just isn't for me. I've gotten this far without it.

It really depends on what I have coming up. I dont usually really study unless I have a test coming up. I do my math homework and I guess that counts as studying. Also if I have something I am having a hard time grasping in one of my classes I read over the chapter or read ahead before the lecture etc. Id say if you took all my studying all week and divided it up into a day it would be about 2 hours a day.

Study for a test or class? No.
B.S. for a test or class? Yes.

Funny we should discuss studying, because I had been studying for my physics final for the past 3 days.

Well, today I wrote my physics final, which I went into with an A average, so needless to say I was fairly comfortable with my buffer zone. Even if I didn't write the exam, mathematically my mark would work out to be somewhere around 60% which is what I need to go on to the next course. This is where the 40% rule comes in; if you don't get at least 40% on the final, the best mark you can get is a D, regardless of what your mark actually works out to be. I had the best mark in my class...but I choked up on my final and I will be lucky to get 40% on it. So I guess I'm gonna have to redo the ENTIRE COURSE. Only I can acheive a 2 grade point drop in 3 hours.

I wonder how badly I can mess up my Chem final coming up. I'm sure I will find a way to outdo myself.

Just out of curiosity how many college students actually buy thier books? I haven't bought books in at least 3 or 4 semesters... quite frankly they are worthless. between the internet and the teachers lectures I do well enough to pass.

I buy my books, and it costs an arm and a leg. Some are more useful than others. Some I don't ever even crack but are great reference material in the future.

I've got a 2500 word essay and 3 small assignments due and a test in between Wednesday and Friday, you'd think I'd have started by now......
