Bob Lutz made an annoucement about 2 weeks ago that GM was NOT cutting a division.
Been speculation for a while now though.

Either way, the Firebird was NEVER coming back anyways.

GM has let Buick build a cool car twice in it's history. The GS stage 1's and the GN/turbo buick platform. Both times, the Buick took the gold for performance. In their time they were pretty much untouchable.


GM need to get their head out of their ASS!!!

More and more domestic fast cars are going to disappear until the SUV craze wears off and/or gas gets cheaper. GM needs the big production lines to build big vehicles because that is where the demand is. They have abandoned us, the modern musclecar crowd, to Ford and imports. Even if they bring back Firebirds and Camaros, it will probably be some front wheel drive nonsense (can you say Impala?). Hang on to your F-body and hope for the best.

this is about all i can say :crying: :crying: :crying: first they take the f-body now they want to eliminate an entire make of cars that a lot of bull shit if you ask me mabey they would do better if they made less changes mustangs and vetts have been around how long and you dont hear shit about ford dieing off or chevy for that mater sound like a bunch off shit to me :banghead:

its to the point where i've heard everything you can possibly hear on the matter.. im just gonna sit back, crack open my Mountain Dew.. and see what happens.. if they make the camaro and or firebird again, great.. if not, there is really no difference to how we're living now..
